Berkeley College Collaborates with the U.S. Navy to Offer Distance Learning to its Sailors

July 2, 2009

Berkeley College has collaborated with the Navy College Program Distance Learning Partnership (NCPDLP) to support a Navy sailor’s mobile lifestyle.

“Berkeley is already becoming the college of choice among students who receive veteran benefits. We are pleased that through this new program we will be able to offer the same higher-education opportunity to sailors currently serving our nation on ships and at US Navy installations worldwide,” says Berkeley College President Dario A. Cortes, PhD.

The program will offer Associate and Bachelor’s degree programs in majors like general business, business administration and justice studies.

The NCPDLP is offered through the Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges Navy system, which allow navy sailors to get their degrees despite their transfers.

Prospective students should email navy@BerkeleyCollege.edu or visit: http://berkeleycollege.edu/military/navy
